I've spent well over $1300 in equipment and rocks alone and all I'M ASKING FOR IS $900. I will consider selling off things seperately if no one wants to buy the whole setup which wouldn't be any good since a lot of this stuff was made to fit with each other. Please also note that I'm not even considering shipping, taxes, or time in the prices. Here's the list of stuff I'm selling and the prices I BOUGHT THEM FOR to prove that I'm not trying to make a profit. I've sold a few things online and when people did come by to pick up the goods, they were impressed of how well kept all my equipment was. I completed my tank build on 3/10/06 so all the equipment is very new. Before the heat wave, the tank system pretty much took care of itself. I feel pretty bad because of all the time and effort I put in this thing. During that time I had many different types of corals and animals in the tank, but the long term residents included, a Flame Angel, 2 Neon Gobies, 2 Ocellaris Clownfish, 2 Black Ray Gobies, Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp, Rose Bubbletip Anemone, Various Zoanthids and Mushrooms, Yellow Fiji Leather Coral, Torch Coral, Brain Coral, and Acan Coral. After a lot of thought, I decided to sell everything after last weeks heat wave killed everything in my tank. Most of the hardware listed above is no longer available or it’s outdated since this tank was set up so long ago. I had this reef tank set up from 2006-2011, and I absolutely loved having it. Protein Skimmer: Red Sea Prizm “Pro Deluxe” Heater: Marineland Visi-Therm Aquarium HeaterĬhiller: Current USA 1/15 HP Prime Chiller As much as I loved this tank, I always seemed to be running into problems with it, many were my own fault and could have been avoided, but they taught me lessons for my future tanks. I also had a wave maker to create alternate flow in the tank, which is beneficial for corals and anemones, and also makes the tank look really cool. The tank also had a 20 gallon sump with refugium which had a deep sand bed, live rock, and chaeto. I also had a chiller on the tank because my room ran hot in the summer because I had a lot of tanks in my room. For lighting I had a Current Satellite T5 for the main tank, and I ran an alternate light cycle in my refugium with a power compact fluorescent. ![]() The set up was my most complicated tank I had ever had. My 30 gallon reef was my first long term experience with owning a saltwater set up. ![]()
